To accommodate students who cannot take the TOEFL iBT® test at a test center due to public health concerns, ETS is temporarily offering the TOEFL iBT® Special Home Edition. This version is identical in content, format, and on-screen experience to the test taken at a test center. Instant Reading and Listening Scores

Test takers can view their unofficial TOEFL iBT® Reading and Listening scores immediately after completing the test. These scores serve as early performance indicators, helping students make informed decisions about reporting their scores.

Shorter Test Duration:

The TOEFL iBT® test duration has been reduced by 30 minutes, making the total test time just 2 hours, without changing the overall test format or question types.

MyBest Scores:

The MyBest Scores feature, also known as "Superscores," compiles the highest scores from all valid TOEFL iBT® tests taken within the last two years. These scores are accepted for admission and immigration purposes, reducing the need to retake the test multiple times.

Reduced Retest Waiting Period:

The waiting period between TOEFL iBT® tests has been reduced from 12 days to just 3 days, helping meet urgent deadlines.

Test Registration and Fee:

To register for the TOEFL iBT® test, create an account and log in on the TOEFL iBT® website. You can complete your registration [here](https://www.ets.org/toefl/test-takers/ibt/register/). Please note that registration closes 7 days before your test date.

Exam Fee:

$205, payable online via credit or debit card, including American Express®, Discover®, JCB®, China Union Pay®, Diners Club®, Mastercard®, or VISA®.

Test Results:

You will receive scores ranging from 0 to 30 for each section, with a total score between 0 and 120 for the entire test. TOEFL iBT® Reading and Listening section scores are available immediately on-screen after the test. Full official scores will be available approximately 6 days after the test and can be accessed through your TOEFL iBT® account.

TOEFL iBT® offers MyBest Scores, which reflect the highest scores from all valid TOEFL iBT® tests taken within the last 2 years. These scores are accepted for admission and immigration purposes, reducing the need for multiple test attempts.

Test Day Information:

Candidates should follow these guidelines before and on the day of the exam:

Two Days Before the Exam:

Log in to your TOEFL iBT® account to verify your registration confirmation and check for any changes in time or location.

Identification:

 Bring a valid ID that matches the name you provided during registration.

Arrival: Arrive at the test center at least 30 minutes before your scheduled test time.

Breakfast:

The TOEFL iBT® test lasts 2 hours, so ensure you have a good breakfast before the exam.

ID Verification:

Present an acceptable and valid ID upon arrival. A photo will be taken, and your handwriting and signature samples will be collected.

Seating:

A seat will be assigned a few minutes before the test begins.

Personal Items:

Mobile phones, personal items, and food are not allowed in the testing room. A locker will be provided for your belongings.

Restroom Breaks:

Restroom use is allowed at any time, but the test clock will not stop.
